An empirically based psychological intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies, together with commitment and behavior change strategies, to increase psychological flexibility, reduce distress, and promote behavior change through mechanisms that include cultivating acceptance of internal experience and aligning behavior with personal values.
